Forza Firescreens Provide School Safety

Commercial interior specialist Celltarga Ltd. provided an innovative, cost effective and functional refurbishment of a junior school situated in Kent and as part of the schools fire escape strategy were tasked with providing the necessary building elements for fire containment and protecting means of escape.

Celltarga personnel liaised with the Forza project team in the design of the FD30/0 glazed screens for installation to the school’s library and year two / four cloakrooms. A series of factory shop drawings were produced by Forza detailing the hardwood timber frames, intumescent glazing components and integrated FD30 timber doorsets.

All timber frame components for onsite decoration were prepared and supplied as per Forza standard method with a precat primer, unsanded for denibing on site in readiness for application by brush or roller with either standard water based latex/acrylic or oil based topcoat paint.

The face surface of the supplied door leaves were coated with Forza Readyprime, an advanced Primed Medium Density Overlay paper lining system providing a sanded, uniform, light coloured surface ready to receive the suitable top coats.
