Doors & Frames
Can you cut aperture holes on a flush door leaf on-site?
Letterbox, door viewer, air transfer grills must be tested or otherwise approved for use with Forza fire-rated doors, they must be fitted fully in accordance with manufacturer instructions including all intumescent liners and cloaking grilles/beads.
Restrictions on the maximum size and placement of any aperture, in which must also be included in the total area permitted for apertures.
Note: the installation of such items in a door leaf may compromise its performance as a smoke control door assembly.
I need EN tested doors, are your doors EN tested?
At this moment Forza is only permitted to certify fire-rated door assemblies under BS 476: 22.
We are actively developing a scope of fire-rated products tested under EN 1634-1.
FD30
What are the minimum frame dimensions available with Forza FD30 door assemblies?
This may vary depending on the chosen ironmongery for the door assembly, however, the frame shall be always a minimum of 70mm depth by 32mm thick.
What type of structural wall can an FD30 Forza fire-rated door assembly be installed in?
The supporting construction may be timber stud & frame or steel stud, head & base track, plasterboard partition (with plasterboard on both faces of the stud), masonry wall or Forza timber framed glazed partition, but shall be of a type that has been tested or assessed to provide in excess of 30 minutes fire resistance, at the required size, when incorporating FD30 timber door assembly openings.
If fitted into a proprietary demountable and relocatable partition system providing in excess of 30 minutes of fire resistance, the method of forming the timber door assembly aperture must be as tested by the partition manufacturer.
The limitation of allowable elevations/leaf sizes and ironmongery as tested and specified by the partition manufacturer shall take total precedence over Forza data.
FD60
What are the minimum frame dimensions available with Forza FD60 door assemblies?

All Products
Are your doors available with FSC® wood?
Forza Doors Ltd has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of the standard(s):
- FSC-STD-40004_V3-1 EN Chain of Custody Certification
- FSC-STD-50-001 V2-1 Certificate Holder Trademark Requirements for FSC® Chain of Custody Certification
With scope preparation of wood veneers and timber utilised in the production of doors, frames, panels and associated joinery.
Do you have primary test evidence for your certification?
As we operate under a third-party certification scheme, for door assemblies (not door sets), there is not one stand-alone test report which is attributable. Our Field of Application reports reference multiple fire test reports and from the evidence within these, IFC Ltd provides a scope of what we are permitted to manufacture under the scheme.
This is demonstrated via our Fire Door Certificate and Hardware Installation Guide which provides all information required to properly install our fire door assemblies. We do not provide copies of our FoAs for public review.
If you require further inspection beyond our fire door certificate provision, hardware guides and scheme membership certification (FRTD497), then you will need to arrange an in-person inspection at the IFC Ltd offices - where an appropriate Fire Engineer can be available to navigate the reports and demonstrate compliance as required.
Fire Screens
Can Forza manufacture and certify offset fire-rated screens?
Yes, this is possible when adhering to the minimum 27mm wide bead size.
What is the maximum height of a fire screen?
Maximum screen height is 4500mm from FFL, but when over 3000mm high, at least one transom member shall be specified.
What is the o/a maximum run of fire-rated screens certified from Forza?
Maximum permitted run of 6000mm or 6000m partially divided by a minimum 200mm structural wall nib.
Is Forza able to mix approved fire glasses within the same fire screen elevation?
This is permitted as far as the fire glasses fall within the permitted option under Forza scope of fire rated approved glasses.
Recently quoted a number of F30/30 fire screens in Primed hardwood liner, the customer wants to supply their own MDF architrave to match existing on site. Would this be an issue ?
No, architraves can be freely specified as they are not part of the fire performance of the assembly performance.
Are architraves required on a twin glazed fire screen?
Hardwood architraves minimum 640kg/m3 are required to a minimum 45 x 15mm size
Can I have better acoustic rates using a twin glazed fire screen system?
Yes, this is one of the functions of a twin glazed system, the thicker the glass and inner cavity bead, the better the acoustic rating achieved.
Partitions
Can the partitions be incorporated into integral blinds within the cavity?
Yes, this is permitted when the correct components are chosen. Please speak to us for more information.
I need .75kn & 1.5kn line loads, is this something you can achieve?
Yes, our partitions have a grade performance of 1.5Kn, therefore .75kn & 1.5kn line loads wouldn't be a problem.
What glazing system is suitable for Forza partitions?
As this is non-fire-rated there is no limitation on the glazing screen system.

- Double doors (glazed): 34dB/Rw
- Double doors (unglazed): 33dB/Rw
Observation: Forza does not currently hold any acoustic test evidence for this type of door assembly when fully fitted. The acoustic values provided are supplied by the door core manufacturer and relate solely to the door core leaf itself, rather than the complete door assembly when fitted.
Can the door be latched?
No, this type of door assembly shall be considered unlatched at all times, even when an ES8100 V-lock is fitted at the head interface.
What lock system can be specified for the door ?
Currently, only the ES8100 Electronic V-lock may be specified at the top head interface between the door and the frame. The mortice body shall be machined into the frame, with the strike plate fitted into the top leading edge of the door leaf, together with the required intumescent protection.
What is the frame thickness and can it be reduced?
