Switching to 100% Renewable Energy Supply

As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact, we're pleased to announce that from 6th May 2026, some of our energy supply will move to 100% renewable through a new contract with Smartest Energy.

While this doesn't yet cover all of our energy use, and renewable supply does come at a higher cost, it's a commitment we believe is worth making as we continue working towards reducing our carbon footprint across the business.

Why Smartest Energy?

Choosing the right energy partner was important to us, we wanted a supplier with genuine credentials in the renewable space.

Smartest Energy has been supporting the UK's independent renewable generation sector since 2001, helping smaller wind, solar and hydro projects feed clean energy into the grid. Their renewable supply products are independently verified by the Carbon Trust, confirming that every megawatt hour is backed by UK-recognised renewable certificates.

Part of a Bigger Picture

This latest step builds on the progress we've already made. We have solar panels installed at our production facility and third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our core product range, giving customers full transparency over the verified environmental impact of the products they specify.

Moving to renewable energy supply is another step forward on our journey — and while there's still plenty of work to do, we remain committed to making measurable progress and being transparent about where we are along the way.
