Forza and Base team up for the Premier League
Base Contracts Ltd. have a long and close working relationship with Tottenham Hotspur FC and each close of season carry out general upgrade and refurbishment to the clubs corporate lounges.
Martin Doughty of Base writes “This year we were tasked with re-designing the clubs most prestigious season ticket holder’s bar, The Centenary Lounge. In association with our in-house design company F3 we worked closely with the stadium director, Jon Babbs, whose brief was to create a 'Gentleman’s Club' type atmosphere, conservative but also contemporary at the same time.
We suggested wall panelling throughout the lounge and selected a stained washed oak veneer to blend the traditional with the contemporary, visuals and finishes boards were produced and the final scheme agreed with Jon. I contacted Forza, who I had worked with many times before and who previously provided veneered panelling successfully for us at the new THFC Academy and elsewhere in the main stadium, so we were confident they were suited to the task. We issued outline design drawings and Forza developed the detail design and issued elevation and panel layout drawings.
Jon Babbs suggested matching stained oak ceiling rafts, routed to reflect the panelling on the walls along with matching slab ended tables for the informal area of the bar, known as 'The Club'.
The joinery was supplied in a phased programme, with numbered panels and workshop drawings so that our carpenters simply had to follow the information provided. The whole project ran very smoothly and everyone agreed, the client especially, that the lounge looked sensational on completion, “The best in the stadium".
We were very happy with Forza’s contribution and have been impressed throughout our working relationship with their professional approach, attention to detail, quality of workmanship and most importantly reliability".
